In November 2024, The Ontario Centre for Pranic Healing (OCPH) had the honor of participating in and sponsoring Her2024, a fundraising event organized by Catholic Community Services of York Region (CCSYR). This event aimed to raise awareness and funds to combat gender-based violence, while also supporting women facing various challenges in the community.
Mara and I were fortunate to have the opportunity to engage with the event’s participants and fellow vendors, sharing the transformative benefits of Pranic Healing. As practitioners of this powerful, energy-based healing modality, we believe in its potential to aid in physical, emotional, and psychological recovery—especially for those who have experienced trauma. We felt it was important to contribute our knowledge of Pranic Healing, offering information and support to vulnerable communities that may benefit from this holistic approach.
The funds raised at Her2024 will go towards supporting trauma-informed Women’s Support Programming. This initiative ensures that vital resources, including counseling and practical assistance, are available to women who have been impacted by violence and other life challenges. Furthermore, the event’s success will help support financial wellbeing initiatives and entrepreneurial programs that empower women to achieve independence. These programs are designed to provide women with the skills, resources, and confidence to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
At The OCPH, we are committed to continuing our support for CCSYR and the incredible work they do in the community. We are excited to be part of a network that helps to create opportunities for women to heal, grow, and thrive. Our participation in Her2024 was just the beginning of what we hope will be an ongoing partnership, bringing holistic healing and empowerment to those who need it most.
Together, we can continue to make a difference, creating a world where women are not only supported, but are empowered to live the lives they deserve—full of hope, healing, and opportunity.
